Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy is seeking a Full-Time Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations and staff in Pleasanton, CA. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality pharmacy services and medical supplies in compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee pharmacy and operations to maintain effective workflow and regulatory compliance Ensure adherence to

USP 797, USP

800, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations Manage compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring services safely and efficiently Prepare prescriptions, solutions, and medications accurately and promptly Assess patient drug regimens to identify and resolve drug-related problems Supervise Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns in medication preparation Handle Controlled Substances management including preparation, distribution, security, and maintenance Collaborate with physicians and referral sources to support patient care Serve as a drug information resource to sales teams and participate in sales support Manage hiring, training, performance management, conflict resolution, and team development Participate in pharmacist on-call schedule and provide coverage as needed

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) with relevant clinical experience Current and valid CA pharmacy license in good standing; additional licensure may be required 3-5 years of pharmacist experience, preferably with direct compounding and specialty pharmacy or home infusion background Strong understanding of infusion pharmacy practices and regulatory frameworks Excellent leadership, communication, and team training abilities Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook CPR certification and experience with Care Tend are desirable Superior customer service orientation
