Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire This leadership role involves supporting the Director of Pharmacy in overseeing the daily operations and strategic initiatives within a hospital pharmacy setting. The position requires close collaboration with medical and hospital staff to ensure alignment with organizational values and enhanced patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with the development, implementation, and management of departmental goals and daily pharmacy operations. Dispense medications and provide drug consultations while managing pharmacists across ambulatory, IT, and staff roles. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, quality assurance, performance improvement, and productivity metrics. Lead pharmacy-related projects including IT systems integration, pharmacy automation, bedside scanning, barcoding, charge master management, data collection, reporting, and operational efficiencies. Maintain professional development through participation in committees, task forces, and professional organizations. Oversee the provision and implementation of pharmaceutical care by supervising pharmacists.

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree required. Master's degree in public health, business administration, or equivalent preferred. Completion of an ASHP-accredited residency program preferred. Active California Registered Pharmacist (RPH) license from the California State Board of Pharmacy. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. Minimum 3 years pediatric pharmacy experience required. Minimum 5 years demonstrating proficiency in relevant pharmacy skills preferred. Experience with EMR systems, especially EPIC.

Schedule:

Primarily 5 days per week, 8-hour day shifts, with some flexibility based on business needs. This direct hire opportunity requires candidates to have a California pharmacist license in hand and a commitment to advancing pharmacy services with a focus on regulatory compliance and operational excellence.
