Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A full-time Director of Pharmacy opportunity is available to lead and manage a Specialty Home Infusion Pharmacy located in Fremont, CA. This direct hire role requires a dynamic leader to oversee pharmacy operations, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with all regulatory standards.

Responsibilities:

Direct overall pharmacy and operations functions for effective and compliant service delivery Ensure adherence to USP 797 and USP 800 standards, as well as State Board of Pharmacy regulations Oversee compounding, dispensing, and clinical monitoring of medications Maintain accurate preparation and distribution of prescriptions and solutions Conduct patient assessments to identify drug-related needs and revise care plans accordingly Supervise Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, and Interns Manage controlled substances security and compliance Collaborate with physicians, referral sources, and support sales efforts as a drug information resource Participate in pharmacist on-call rotation and cover shifts as necessary Lead hiring, training, performance management, team development, and strategic planning for direct reports

Qualifications:

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Registered Pharmacist (R.Ph.) with clinical experience California pharmacy license in good standing; additional licensure per state requirements 3-5 years' pharmacist experience, preferably including direct compounding Experience in specialty pharmacy or home infusion highly preferred CPR certification and Care Tend familiarity desired Strong customer service skills and proficiency in
