Job Description:
POSITION SUMMARY
The Retail Pharmacy Technician supports the pharmacist in delivering safe, accurate, and timely pharmacy services while providing exceptional customer service in an independent retail pharmacy setting. This role is responsible for medication preparation and dispensing support, operating advanced pharmacy technologies (e.g., dispensing robots and packaging systems), and managing medication inventory and procurement processes. The technician serves as a key point of contact for patients, ensuring a welcoming, efficient, and patient-centered experience.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Licensure/Certification:
High school diploma or equivalent required. Current, active Pharmacy Technician license with the California State Board of Pharmacy required. National certification (e.g., PTCB) preferred. Prior experience in a retail or community pharmacy setting preferred . Knowledge /
Experience:
Knowledge of pharmacy operations, including prescription processing, third-party billing and inventory management.
Skills :
Excellent Communication skills and team-oriented attitude. S trong organizational skills and effective time management w hile ensuring a high level of attention to detail . Ability to work well as a team, and independently on assigned projects.
