Compounding Pharmacy Manager Job Description We are seeking an experienced Compounding Pharmacy Manager to lead a dynamic and expanding compounding pharmacy operation. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing approximately 300 prescriptions per day and managing a team of over 30 employees. This role involves driving operational efficiency, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting the organization's growth while maintaining an exceptional patient and customer experience. Responsibilities + Lead and develop a team of 30+ employees, including pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, fulfillment staff, customer care representatives, and data entry specialists. + Hire, train, coach, and mentor team members, conducting performance reviews and development planning. + Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement while developing future leaders. + Oversee daily pharmacy workflow and production, ensuring prescriptions are processed accurately and efficiently. + Monitor staffing levels and workload distribution, improving operational processes to support continued growth. + Manage inventory and purchasing practices, maintaining compliance with State Board of Pharmacy regulations. + Ensure compliance with USP standards and pharmacy best practices, overseeing quality assurance initiatives. + Prepare for inspections, audits, and accreditation requirements, promoting a culture of patient safety and regulatory excellence. + Support company growth initiatives and site expansion, analyzing operational metrics to recommend improvements. + Identify bottlenecks and implement process enhancements while partnering with leadership on strategic initiatives. + Manage labor and operational expenses, monitoring productivity and efficiency metrics. + Support revenue growth and profitability goals. Essential Skills + Active Pharmacist License. + 5+ years of pharmacy leadership experience. + Strong understanding of pharmacy operations and workflow optimization. + Experience driving process improvements in a growing environment. + Excellent communication and leadership skills. Additional Skills & Qualifications + PharmD preferred. + 3+ years of compounding pharmacy experience preferred. + Previous Pharmacy Manager or PIC experience. + Experience leading teams of 30+ employees. + High-volume compounding pharmacy experience. + Experience scaling pharmacy operations during periods of growth. + Multi-site leadership experience. + Knowledge of sterile and non-sterile compounding operations. + Experience with PioneerRx or similar pharmacy management systems. Work Environment This role is situated in a fast-paced, high-growth compounding pharmacy environment focused on delivering customized medications for patients across multiple specialties. The facility processes approximately 300 prescriptions per day and supports a diverse operation that includes compounding, fulfillment, data entry, customer care, inventory management, and pharmacy services. The Pharmacy Manager will work in a highly collaborative environment, partnering closely with pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, operations leaders, and support teams. This position requires a visible leader who is comfortable being on the floor, interacting with staff, solving operational challenges, and driving continuous improvement. Full benefits are offered, including medical, dental, vision, and a 401k with a match, along with 160 hours of PTO and six standard holidays. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Orlando, FL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $140000.00 - $200000.00/yr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
