Job Description
CVS Health is seeking a District Support Pharmacist to provide high-quality patient care and operational support across multiple retail pharmacy locations. In this part-time role, you will dispense medications, verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and support immunization and clinical services while ensuring regulatory and company compliance. You'll collaborate with pharmacy teams to maintain safety, accuracy, and excellent customer service. Responsibilities Provide pharmacist coverage across multiple CVS retail pharmacy locations within the district Verify prescriptions, dispense medications, and ensure accuracy and safety in all pharmacy operations Counsel patients on medications, side effects, and proper use to optimize health outcomes Administer immunizations and support clinical services in accordance with state laws and company protocols Ensure compliance with federal and state pharmacy regulations, company policies, and quality standards Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and store teams to deliver excellent customer service Manage and oversee controlled substances handling, inventory, and documentation Resolve third-party billing issues and support efficient prescription processing Maintain accurate clinical and operational records in pharmacy information systems Contribute to a culture of integrity, inclusion, and continuous learning within the pharmacy team Required Skills Medication dispensing Prescription verification Patient counseling Immunization administration Pharmacy law and compliance Drug utilization review Insurance and third-party billing Pharmacy information systems (e.g., Rx Connect) Inventory management Clinical documentation
