Position Summary The Medical Cannabis Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of The Pharmacy Place's medical cannabis program, ensuring exceptional patient care, regulatory compliance, inventory management, staff development, and business performance. This role serves as a key leader within the organization and works closely with healthcare providers, patients, state producers, and regulatory agencies to promote safe, effective, and compliant access to medical cannabis products. Key Responsibilities Patient Care & Education Ensure patients receive professional, compassionate, and knowledgeable service. Provide guidance on medical cannabis products within legal and company guidelines. Address patient concerns and resolve service issues promptly and professionally. Maintain a welcoming and professional environment that prioritizes patient privacy, enhances patient satisfaction, and ensures an efficient checkout experience. Regulatory Compliance Ensure compliance with all state medical cannabis laws, regulations, and licensing requirements. Maintain accurate records and reports related to inventory, sales, and patient transactions. Monitor operations to ensure adherence to company policies and standard operating procedures. Prepare for and support regulatory inspections and audits. Operations Management Oversee daily medical cannabis operations. Manage staff training and operations for the sale of medical cannabis within the pharmacy. Develop and implement operational improvements to enhance customer experience and business performance. Monitor security protocols and maintain a safe workplace environment. Provide operational support across pharmacy functions as needed. Inventory Management Manage inventory levels to ensure adequate product availability. Conduct regular inventory audits and reconciliations. Coordinate product ordering and vendor relationships. Track product movement and ensure compliance with seed-to-sale tracking requirements. Business Performance Monitor sales performance and key operational metrics. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and expense management. Identify opportunities to increase revenue and improve operational efficiency. Ensure accurate cash handling and financial reporting procedures. Collaborate with cross-functional pharmacy stakeholders to drive, support, and align strategic initiatives that advance organizational goals. Qualifications Required Minimum of 2 years of management experience in healthcare, retail, pharmacy, cannabis, or a regulated industry. Strong knowledge of medical cannabis regulations and industry best practices. Experience managing teams and operational performance. Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills. Proficiency with inventory management and point-of-sale systems. Preferred Experience managing a medical cannabis dispensary. Healthcare, pharmaceutical, or clinical industry background. Certification or specialized training related to cannabis education or compliance. Knowledge of state-specific medical cannabis regulations.
