Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract This opportunity offers a Pharmacy Manager role at a 340B retail pharmacy located within a critical access hospital. The pharmacy manages an average prescription volume of 140 per day, serving its community with dedicated and efficient pharmaceutical care.

PM Friday:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-call duty is possible but rarely required The pharmacy team consists of one pharmacist and two technicians, operating without PRN pharmacist support. The pharmacy utilizes the Pioneer computer system to manage operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with 340B program requirements and general pharmacy regulations Manage prescription processing with attention to accuracy and patient safety Collaborate with pharmacy technicians and healthcare staff to optimize workflow Maintain inventory control and manage drug utilization effectively Provide guidance and support to ensure the pharmacy meets quality standards
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed Pharmacist with retail experience required Familiarity with the 340B drug pricing program preferred Iowa pharmacist license or eligibility for Iowa temporary license Ability to work full-time hours as outlined Strong organizational and communication skills for effective team leadership This contract role provides the chance to lead a focused pharmacy team in a unique healthcare setting.
