Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract A 340B retail pharmacy within a critical access hospital seeks a Pharmacy Manager to lead daily operations and ensure optimal patient care. This role offers the opportunity to manage a prescription volume of approximately 140 prescriptions per day and work alongside a small, dedicated team consisting of one pharmacist and two technicians. The pharmacy operates with the Pioneer computer system and is staffed weekdays with hours designed to support the community's healthcare needs.

Monday to
Thursday:
8:00 AM - 6:30
PM Friday:
8:00 AM - 5:00 PM On-call duty is possible but rarely required
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee daily pharmacy operations and maintain compliance with 340B program requirements Manage staff workflow and ensure excellent customer service Coordinate with hospital and healthcare providers to optimize medication management Utilize the Pioneer pharmacy system efficiently for prescription processing and inventory management Support continuous quality improvement initiatives within the pharmacy
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Iowa pharmacist license or eligibility to obtain a temporary Iowa license Strong retail pharmacy background, with experience preferred in 340B program operations Ability to work full-time and commit to the 13-week assignment beginning September 14th Excellent leadership and communication skills, adaptable to a close-knit team environment This contract role offers the chance to make a tangible impact within a community-focused healthcare setting, enriching your professional portfolio with specialized 340B retail experience.
