Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM On-call coverage 7 days a week (weekends covered by part-time pharmacist)

Role Overview:

Serving as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), you will be responsible for daily management and operational oversight of the pharmacy. The facility specializes in behavioral health and psychiatric care, supporting a team comprising one part-time pharmacist and one pharmacy technician. This contract position begins mid-August and will continue until a permanent candidate is hired.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead staffing, scheduling, and pharmacy team coordination Conduct and participate in meetings to ensure compliance and operational efficiency Maintain pharmacy operations with strong communication and financial oversight Oversee Omnicell automation system operations; order entry system proficiency (training provided) Manage pharmacy workflow without sterile compounding duties Provide regular progress updates via email and monthly one-on-one meetings with the account manager

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

Illinois Pharmacist license required Minimum 3 years of pharmacy management experience, preferably in a hospital or behavioral health setting Experience with Omnicell automation is highly preferred Strong communication skills and basic financial knowledge essential
