Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire Lead the pharmacy operations of a historic not-for-profit acute care hospital serving Chicago's South Side community since 1912. This direct hire role offers an annual salary range of $165,000 to $185,000, plus an eligible $3,000 bonus and potential relocation assistance. Your leadership will impact inpatient pharmacy services in an environment dedicated to meaningful community health.

PM Key Responsibilities:
Full scope leadership of inpatient pharmacy operations, including clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical teams to optimize pharmacy services Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards Lead and develop a diverse pharmacy team (20 staff members across full-time, part-time, and PRN roles) Support and promote community health initiatives within an underserved population
Qualifications:
Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory) Minimum 3 years as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital (mandatory) At least 3 years of acute care inpatient pharmacy experience (mandatory) PharmD degree strongly preferred Board Certification and hospital residency completion considered strong assets Proven experience managing multi-level pharmacy teams Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS compliance requirements Experience in community or safety net hospital settings is a plus
