Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire A leadership opportunity is available for a seasoned professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting. This direct hire role is located in the vibrant Evanston, IL area and requires strong clinical and operational pharmacy expertise combined with proven management abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and oversee all pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission and CMS standards. Manage a diverse team of approximately 20 pharmacy staff, including full-time, part-time, and PRN employees. Develop and implement strategies to optimize pharmacy services and improve patient outcomes. Demonstrate a commitment to community health, particularly in serving underserved patient populations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support pharmacy initiatives aligned with hospital goals.
Required Qualifications:
Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory, with disclosure of all active/inactive licenses). Minimum three years' experience as Director of Pharmacy within an acute care inpatient hospital. Minimum three years' acute care inpatient pharmacy experience. Proven capability managing multi-level pharmacy teams in a hospital environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
PharmD degree strongly preferred. Board certification considered a strong advantage. Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program is a plus. Experience working in community or safety-net hospital settings is beneficial. Strong background in Joint Commission and CMS compliance.

This role requires presence in the Evanston vicinity, with willingness to relocate to Chicago's South Side if not currently local.
