This per diem opportunity is ideal for an experienced Staff Pharmacist seeking to contribute to an ambulatory outpatient retail environment. The role involves managing a daily prescription volume of 200-250 during weekdays and around 100 on weekends, primarily within a fast-paced setting that supports patient health and medication safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately dispense medications and verify prescription orders with high attention to detail. Counsel patients on proper medication use, potential side effects, and answer any medication-related questions. Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify or resolve prescription issues. Maintain compliance with all pharmacy laws, regulations, and standard operating procedures. Utilize Epic Willow for order entry; training will be provided if needed.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current Illinois pharmacist license. Proven retail pharmacy experience. Familiarity with Epic Willow is advantageous but not required as training is available. Strong communication skills and ability to operate efficiently in a high-volume environment.

Schedule and Location:

Position located in Rockford, IL. Workdays are Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Possible Saturday shifts if needed.

Contract duration:
