Job Description

Shift:

Days (40 hours/week) |

Tue-Fri:

8:15 AM - 6:45 PM |

Sat/Sun/Holidays:

9:00 AM - 2:30 PM (Mondays off; requires every other weekend and holiday rotation; no on-call) Position Summary A retail pharmacy in the St. Ignace, MI area requires a Certified Pharmacy Technician for a temporary daytime assignment. Housing assistance is available (typically provided at local staff accommodations). Flexible start dates based on availability. Key Responsibilities Receive, verify, price, and fill retail prescriptions under pharmacist supervision. Prepare medications for patient delivery and distribution. Complete patient intake documentation and process online insurance claims. Manage medication inventory, including stocking, pricing, and availability tracking. Maintain infection-control protocols, facility safety standards, and compliance regulations. Document and process orders using Epic EMR.

Qualifications & Requirements Licensure:

Active Michigan Pharmacy Technician License [Required at submission].

Certification:

Active National Pharmacy Technician Certification (PTCB, ExCPT, or equivalent) [Required].

Experience:

Prior retail pharmacy experience [Required].

System Knowledge:

Proficiency with Epic EMR software [Required].

Life Support:

BLS Certification [Preferred].

Schedule & Facility Support Hours:

40 guaranteed hours per week.

Rotation:

Every other weekend and rotated holidays.

Housing:

Employer/facility-assisted housing provided.

Pay:

$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
