7/9-10/1 (with 2 weeks of training prior to coverage). Position Overview The Interim Director of Pharmacy will serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and oversee daily inpatient pharmacy operations. This leadership role requires a pharmacist who can effectively manage personnel, maintain regulatory compliance, support medication-use initiatives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams. Responsibilities Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) for the inpatient pharmacy department Provide leadership and oversight for pharmacy operations and staff Develop and manage pharmacist and technician schedules Partner with purchasing personnel to address medication inventory and supply chain needs Lead Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee meetings, including agenda preparation and implementation of approved initiatives Participate in medical staff and quality improvement committee meetings Conduct departmental meetings and daily staff huddles Manage controlled substance ordering and regulatory compliance activities Oversee payroll functions and automated dispensing cabinet user access Serve as a clinical and operational resource for pharmacy staff Assist with sterile compounding when operational needs require Requirements MO Pharmacist License in good standing Medication Therapy Services Certification 3+ years of Inpatient experience Previous pharmacy leadership experience in a hospital setting Meditech Expanse experience preferred Why Apply?
