Job Description
Job Summary:
To serve as the assistant to the Pharmacy Clinical Manager. To perform the diversified duties required to assist the Pharmacy Clinical Manager with the supervision and operation of the Department of Pharmacy. To ensure staff accountability with policies and procedures; assist in the planning, implementation, and management of the activities of personnel in all aspects of clinical services. To serve as a resource person for onboarding new employees for EMR training. To coordinate pharmacist scheduling. To serve as the Residency Program Coordinator for ASHP-accredited residency programs. To serve as the department educator, to coordinate student learning experiences. To assist the Pharmacy Clinical Manager with the ongoing maintenance of the clinical pharmacy programs. To serve as an effective Pharmacy liaison to the medical and nursing staff. To provide patient-focused pharmacy services.Qualifications:
BS in pharmacy or Pharm D. from a recognized college or university and current N.C. license required. PGY1 Pharmacy residency or at least three years' pharmacy experience required. PGY2 in Health-System Pharmacy Administration and Leadership, master's degree in management, administration, or related field preferred. Board-certification within 12 months of eligibility required. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and teaching skills. Thorough knowledge of pharmacy terminology, procedures, and policies. Thorough skills in performing pharmacy procedures. Considerable ability to communicate effectively with hospital personnel and physicians. Considerable ability to manage and motivate people. BLS, ACLS, and PALS is required within 120 days of start, or first available course offered by CaroMont, whichever occurs later.. Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals.
