In-person Job Summary:
We are seeking a Pharmacy Manager responsible for overseeing pharmacy operations, supervising staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and providing safe and effective medication services to patients.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Lead, direct, and manage pharmacists and pharmacy operations staff. Oversee pharmacy operations, compliance, quality, clinical outcomes, and business performance. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws and Board of Pharmacy requirements. Review, interpret, verify, compound, and accurately dispense prescriptions. Provide patient counseling, medication therapy management, drug regimen reviews, immunizations, and other clinical services. Ensure proper medication storage, inventory management, diversion monitoring, and controlled-substance compliance. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare providers regarding prescriptions, interactions, allergies, refills, and medication alternatives. Supervise, coach, train, and evaluate pharmacy team members. Support hiring, performance management, employee development, and team engagement. Build strong relationships with patients and the local medical community. Identify opportunities to improve pharmacy services, customer experience, and business performance.
Education, Licensure, and Experience:
PharmD from an accredited educational institution or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy with appropriate registration/licensure. Active Pharmacist License required. Must be a Certified Immunizer or willing to become certified within 30 days of hire. Minimum 1 year of retail pharmacy experience preferred; new graduates with an active license are welcome to apply. Experience with prescription dispensing, verification, pharmacy operations, pharmacy technology, insurance, and record keeping. Strong knowledge of state and federal controlled-substance laws. Excellent communication, leadership, accuracy, reliability, and teamwork skills. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and business acumen.
