Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Director of Pharmacy experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered. Job Description An immediate opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations within a behavioral health setting in the Newark market. This assignment is ideal for a pharmacist with leadership experience who can oversee daily operations while fulfilling Pharmacy Manager and PIC responsibilities during a short-term transition. Responsibilities Oversee daily pharmacy operations, scheduling, and medication order verification Fulfill Pharmacy Manager and Pharmacist-in-Charge responsibilities (35+ hours/week) Participate in meetings and assist with Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) data collection Support pharmacy staff while ensuring regulatory compliance and medication safety Work Hours Monday through Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM On-call after each weekday shift Weekend on-call coverage only Experience Previous Director of Pharmacy or PIC experience preferred Experience with HCS order entry system required Behavioral health pharmacy experience preferred Omnicell experience is helpful Education Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) or Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy Other Qualifications Active and valid New Jersey Pharmacist License Policy development and regulatory experience preferred Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to begin ASAP for a 6-8 week assignment to be considered for this New Jersey pharmacy leadership opportunity or send your resume directly to learn more about additional pharmacy openings currently available.
