Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Direct Hire An opportunity is available to lead pharmacy operations at a critical illness recovery hospital specializing in post-ICU inpatient care for chronic and critically ill patients requiring extended healing and recovery. This facility is part of a nationwide healthcare network of over 44,000 professionals, adhering to The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards.

Direct Hire Responsibilities:
Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations including clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management. Ensure the accurate preparation and dispensing of medications across the hospital pharmacy. Maintain full compliance with regulatory standards from The Joint Commission, CMS, and others. Administer the Adverse Drug Reaction Program and participate in drug utilization and quality assurance initiatives. Develop and implement new employee training and ongoing educational programs. Monitor patient drug therapy and create at least one clinically oriented program annually (examples include Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service, Patient Counseling, Pain Management, or Nutritional Support). Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement. Provide teaching and counseling services to patients and their families.
Required Qualifications:
Active Oklahoma Pharmacist License in good standing. Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if mandated by state requirements. Fulfillment of all Oklahoma licensure educational criteria.
Preferred Qualifications:
PharmD or BS Pharm with advanced degree or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency. At least one year in a pharmacy management or leadership role. Board Certification and residency completion are highly valued.
