Job Description
Job Summary Leads pharmacy growth, sales, and market strategy across commercial health plans, employer groups, and PBM partnerships. As an organization's senior pharmacy expert, drives revenue through pharmacy benefit sales, PBM contracting, market differentiation, and strategic client engagement with employers, brokers, consultants, and PBMs. Job Duties Lead enterprise pharmacy sales strategy and drive revenue growth across commercial, employer, and PBM channels. Serve as the senior pharmacy leader in employer, broker, consultant, and client sales discussions. Partner with health plan sales teams to position pharmacy benefits as a key competitive differentiator. Develop and execute market growth strategies to expand employer and commercial business. Lead negotiations for PBM agreements, mail-order services, specialty pharmacy contracts, and distribution partnerships. Evaluate and optimize pharmacy channel economics, including pricing, rebates, margins, fees, and performance guarantees. Identify opportunities to expand specialty pharmacy access, limited distribution networks, and strategic partnerships. Design and commercialize innovative pharmacy products, benefit strategies, and cost-management solutions. Translate clinical pharmacy programs into marketable, financially compelling offerings for employers and health plan customers. Lead pharmacy strategy for RFP responses, employer proposals, finalist presentations, and contract negotiations. Collaborate with Finance, Actuarial, and Pharmacy leadership to develop pricing strategies, trend assumptions, and profitability targets. Monitor financial performance of pharmacy programs, contracts, and distribution channels to support growth and margin improvement. Provide pharmacy market intelligence and competitive insights to guide strategic planning and innovation. Partner with executive leadership to align pharmacy initiatives with enterprise growth, affordability, quality, and access goals. Build, lead, and develop a high-performing pharmacy sales and strategy team focused on accountability, innovation, and results. Work is typically performed in an office environment.
