Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A full-time Pharmacist opportunity is available in a retail pharmacy setting located in Newport, Pennsylvania. This direct hire role offers a dynamic work environment with variable day and afternoon shifts totaling 74 hours biweekly. The position starts as soon as possible and involves managing pharmacy operations within a busy retail store. Responsibilities include maintaining strong collaboration with store operations to engage associates and communicate strategy. You will ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of all prescriptions by conducting thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance checks in accordance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations. Managing inventory effectively, driving prescription growth through clinical programs like immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM), and overseeing the pharmacy team's performance will be key components of your role. Additional duties involve supervising pharmacists and pharmacy staff, providing coaching and training, resolving customer concerns, and maintaining pharmacy security.
Key responsibilities:
Build and grow a profitable pharmacy business aligned with performance metrics Provide expert healthcare counseling and excellent customer service Manage inventory, cycle counts, and will-calls to meet customer demand Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription issues Lead, train, and develop pharmacy personnel to optimize department efficiency Qualifications and desired experience: Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License Current Pennsylvania Immunization License Experience in retail pharmacy and pharmacy team leadership preferred
