Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A retail pharmacist position is available in Newport, PA, for a direct hire opportunity with a well-established grocery store chain. This full-time role offers variable day and afternoon shifts with bi-weekly hours totaling 74. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail pharmacy and be ready to start as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Foster collaboration with the store operations team to drive associate engagement and communicate pharmacy strategies. Ensure the accuracy and appropriateness of prescriptions by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in compliance with state and federal regulations. Manage the pharmacy department to build a profitable business, increase prescription growth through clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM). Control inventory by tracking weekly sales and ordering pharmaceutical stock to meet customer demand. Align department performance with key operational metrics focusing on efficiency and effectiveness. Provide exceptional customer service, including healthcare counseling and resolution of customer issues. Supervise pharmacists, pharmacy associates, and support staff, including training, coaching, and discipline. Maintain security and regulatory compliance of the pharmacy department. Interact with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription issues. Oversee the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy. Prioritize daily pharmacy tasks such as inventory management, cycle counts, and will-calls.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree. Current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License. Current Pennsylvania Immunization License.
