Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Direct Hire A retail pharmacy is seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead and grow its pharmacy department in Hazleton, PA. This full-time, direct hire role offers a dynamic schedule with variable day and afternoon shifts and requires 69 hours bi-weekly, typically consisting of 10- to 12-hour shifts.
Key Responsibilities:
Maintain strong collaborative relationships with store operations to drive associate engagement and effectively communicate department strategy. Ensure prescription accuracy and compliance with state and federal Board of Pharmacy regulations through thorough Drug Utilization Review and Final Quality Assurance. Lead business growth by promoting clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) to increase script volume and profitability. Oversee inventory management by coordinating with the District Manager, monitoring weekly sales, and ordering pharmaceutical stock. Align departmental performance with key metrics to improve effectiveness and efficiency. Provide exceptional customer service, addressing medical inquiries and healthcare counseling. Supervise and manage pharmacists and pharmacy associates, including training, coaching, and discipline. Ensure pharmacy security and maintain a clean, organized environment. Handle customer concerns professionally to build trust and loyalty. Collaborate with physicians and use reference materials to resolve prescription-related issues. Prioritize daily pharmacy tasks to ensure timely completion, including inventory counts and will-call management.
Qualifications:
Bachelor of Pharmacy or PharmD degree
