Category Pharmacy - Pharmacist Job Type Direct Hire A full-time Pharmacist position is available at a retail pharmacy located in Altoona, PA, offering a direct hire opportunity. This role involves working variable day and afternoon shifts with bi-weekly hours totaling 74. Responsibilities include maintaining strong collaborative relationships with the store operations team to engage associates and effectively communicate department and company strategies. You will ensure prescription accuracy and compliance by conducting Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in line with federal and state pharmacy regulations. Managing the department to promote profitability and script growth is essential, utilizing clinical programs such as immunizations and Medication Therapy Management (MTM) services when available. The Pharmacist will oversee inventory control in partnership with the pharmacy District Manager, track weekly sales, and manage pharmaceutical stock to meet customer needs. Leading the pharmacy team includes supervising pharmacists and support staff, directing training, coaching, and disciplinary actions, while maintaining department security. Customer service is a priority, involving assistance with medical-related inquiries and healthcare counseling, resolving complaints to foster trust and loyalty. Interaction with physicians and use of reference materials are necessary to clarify prescription issues. The role also includes departmental upkeep, ongoing staff development, and prioritizing tasks such as cycle counts, inventory management, and managing will-calls. Ideal candidates will hold a Bachelor of Pharmacy or Pharm.

D., possess a current Pennsylvania Pharmacist License, and a Pennsylvania Immunization License.
