Full-time Position Overview An independent pharmacy in Jersey City is seeking an experienced and motivated leader to build and manage a new HIV specialty pharmacy program. This person will oversee the program from development through growth, including relationships with infectious-disease providers and community organizations, patient enrollment, medication access, insurance coordination, adherence support, and daily program operations. Responsibilities- Develop and launch the pharmacy's HIV specialty program
- Build professional relationships with HIV clinics, infectious-disease providers, hospitals, case managers, and community organizations
- Create patient referral, intake, onboarding, refill, and follow-up processes
- Help patients access HIV treatment, PrEP, and PEP
- Coordinate prior authorizations, insurance issues, copay assistance, ADAP, and other medication-access programs
- Develop adherence, refill-management, and patient-retention programs
- Ensure discreet, respectful, and culturally sensitive patient service
- Train pharmacy staff on HIV medications and program procedures
- Track referrals, enrolled patients, adherence, retention, and program growth
- Ensure all activities comply with HIPAA, pharmacy regulations, payer requirements, and applicable healthcare laws Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in HIV care, specialty pharmacy, infectious disease, public health, case management, or pharmacy business development
- Knowledge of HIV medications, PrEP, PEP, ADAP, prior authorizations, and patient-assistance programs
- Existing relationships with HIV providers or community organizations in Jersey City, Hudson County, Newark, or the surrounding area are strongly preferred
- Strong communication, networking, organization, and leadership skills
- Experience building or expanding a healthcare program is highly preferred
- Pharmacist, pharmacy technician, nurse, social worker, case manager, or healthcare business-development background is welcome
- Spanish-speaking or other multilingual ability is a plus What We Offer
