Work Location Lexington, KY•Remote Grade Level 10 Salary Range $48,360-81,328/year Type of Position Staff Position Time Status Full-Time Required Education AA Click here for more information about equivalencies: https://hr.uky.edu/employment/working-uk/equivalencies Required Related Experience 5 yrs Required License/Registration/Certification Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire. Physical Requirements This position may include sitting at a computer work station for extended periods of time utilizing repetitive motions, may require standing for extended periods of time, and may require the ability to lift up to 25 pounds. Shift Primarily Monday through Friday, day shift hours. Job Summary This position is responsible to review charge control processes for UK Healthcare Inpatient Pharmacy services and ensure compliance between doses and charges for drugs and pharmaceutical supplies. This position requires prior computer knowledge and multi-system knowledge, including Epic, wholesaler interfaces, Pyxis system, and SAP. Pharmacy expertise with pharmacy billing, drug coding, CMS coverage guidelines, and drug knowledge to comprehend clinical documentation and interpret dosage requirements to ensure accuracy of pharmaceutical billing is also required for quality control assurance. This position is also responsible for processing invoices and working with UKHC accounting for proper vendor payment. In addition to daily duties, projects of varying time horizons will be assigned as needed.
Skills / Knowledge
/ Abilities Experience utilizing the following: Cardinal Order Express, Epic, SAP, Pyxis Software, Microsoft Suite of Products. Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? No Preferred Education/Experience Pharmacy Technician experience, medical and/or pharmacy billing experience highly preferred.
