Job Description
Grow Your Career with an Independent Pharmacy Carolina Forest Pharmacy is looking for a motivated, dependable, and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our growing team. This is a unique position that combines approximately 50% retail pharmacy and 50% pharmaceutical compounding , allowing you to develop a broad range of technical and patient care skills. Paid training in pharmaceutical compounding Career advancement opportunities Supportive, team-oriented work environment Opportunity to learn retail operations, formulation science, inventory management, quality assurance, and leadership Retail Responsibilities Prescription processing, filling, labeling, and data entry Assist patients at pickup and over the phone Inventory management and receiving orders Support daily pharmacy workflow and patient service Compounding Responsibilities Prepare compounded medications following formulas and SOPs Perform pharmaceutical calculations and documentation Learn formulation science and ingredient functions Operate and maintain compounding equipment Monitor inventory and assist with ordering chemicals and supplies Maintain an organized, inspection-ready laboratory Follow all quality, safety, and USP standards Qualifications South Carolina Pharmacy Technician registration (or ability to obtain) Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Excellent communication and teamwork Ability to multitask while maintaining accuracy Positive attitude and willingness to learn Preferred Previous pharmacy or compounding experience National Pharmacy Technician Certification Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Health Sciences, Business, Mathematics, or a related field College Graduates Encouraged to Apply If you are a college graduate with strong academic ability, excellent work ethic, and an interest in healthcare, laboratory science, or pharmacy, we encourage you to apply.
