Job Description

Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract An Interim Director of Pharmacy position is available for a contract assignment in Nacogdoches, TX. This role requires a licensed Texas Pharmacist with current PIC status to provide pharmacy leadership and management coverage in an acute care inpatient setting. The assignment begins August 3rd and is expected to last for at least three months.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide administrative oversight as the Director of Pharmacy, leading all pharmacy operations Manage pharmacy staffing including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain quality patient care Coordinate pharmacy inservices and staff training Utilize Cerner/Siemens order entry system and Omnicell automation technology Uphold business casual dress code standards
Qualifications and Experience:
Licensed Pharmacist in Texas with PIC designation Strong inpatient acute care and hospital pharmacy experience Proven management and leadership abilities in a pharmacy setting Familiarity with Cerner/Siemens and Omnicell systems preferred
Schedule:
Monday through Friday, day shift, 40 hours per week No weekend or on-call responsibilities This opportunity is ideal for a pharmacy leader seeking to support an acute care facility on a contract basis while demonstrating effective administration and regulatory compliance expertise. The team includes one clinical pharmacist, several PRN pharmacists, and full- and part-time pharmacy technicians to assist in daily operations.
