Category Pharmacy-Director of Pharmacy Job Type Contract This opportunity is for an Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) position at a behavioral health facility with licensed beds exceeding 300. The role involves supporting a small pharmacy team in a hospital setting, with a focus on administrative leadership and staff management. The position is contract-based, starting September 1, 2026, and continuing until a permanent hire is made.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the PIC, overseeing pharmacy operations and staffing Manage daily pharmacy workflows between 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM, Monday through Friday Provide on-call coverage after shifts and on weekends Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and improve pharmacy processes Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to support behavioral health patients Participate in onsite training for order entry (HCS) and automation systems (Omnicell)
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Current Texas pharmacist licensure is required Experience as a hospital pharmacist, especially in behavioral health settings, is preferred Familiarity with Omnicell automation systems is advantageous; training is available Competence in pharmacy leadership or director roles strongly preferred

Coverage Hours:
Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-1:00 PM, plus on-call after shifts and weekends
