• Job Summary and Qualifications
• + Coordinate services of the inpatient pharmacy.

+ Make assignments within job description for specific staff classifications. + Monitor/manage drug and supply inventory. + Monitor/manage controlled substance inventory. + Monitor and document staff performance. Administer staff performance appraisals. + Participate in relevant Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives. + Implement departmental directives regarding policy, procedure, program and system additions or revisions. + Participate in interview process for potential new hires and convey recommendations to the Director of Pharmacy. + Represent Pharmacy on interdisciplinary committees. + Perform in a staff distributive and/or clinical role as required. + Communicates effectively with pharmacy staff, patients and all members of the healthcare team. + Directs and coordinates scheduling and payroll.

• What qualifications you will need:

• QUALIFICATIONS

• + Required
• Prior experience as a pharmacist. New graduates required to have gained pharmacy experience as an intern/extern + License in good standing as a Pharmacist in the Commonwealth of Virginia. + Preferred
• Prior experience in hospital pharmacy and pharmacy management.

• EDUCATION

• + Required
• Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy, or Doctor of Pharmacy from an accredited school of pharmacy. + Preferred
• Advanced degree in pharmacy management or administration.
