Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Manager Job Type Contract A hospital-based opportunity in West Virginia is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) role. This position serves a 165-bed behavioral health facility with an average daily census of 130. The role starts on August 31, 2026, and continues until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired. This contract position combines leadership duties with hands-on pharmacy management in a dynamic clinical setting.

Schedule:

Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM On-call coverage after shifts and on weekends

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Current West Virginia pharmacist licensure required Experience in hospital pharmacy management Familiarity with Omnicell automation (training provided) Experience with HCS order entry system (training provided) preferred Strong leadership and administrative skills as PIC Ability to supervise pharmacy staff including pharmacists and technicians

Responsibilities:

Serve as Interim Director of Pharmacy and PIC Manage staffing, daily operations, and administrative tasks Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and policies Oversee order filling, delivery, and inventory management with technician support Participate in on-call rotation to provide after-hours coverage Collaborate with clinical teams in a behavioral health environment Receive onsite training and transition guidance from retiring
