Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract To Hire A veterinary compounding pharmacy is seeking a skilled Pharmacy Technician with expertise in non-sterile and some sterile compounding to support their high-volume production environment. This role focuses on preparing custom veterinary medications, packaging and labeling prescriptions, and supporting pharmacists to ensure smooth daily operations. Responsibilities include preparing and compounding veterinary prescriptions primarily using non-sterile methods, packaging and labeling orders for shipment, maintaining cleanliness and functionality of compounding equipment per SOPs, assisting pharmacists with workflow demands, and ensuring rigorous adherence to quality assurance protocols. Accurate documentation and inventory management are essential, as is the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting. This pharmacy fills over 200 prescriptions daily and employs multiple pharmacists and technicians. The technician will engage with software tools such as PK Software and QuickBooks Online, with a transition to Pharmetica scheduled in the near future. The position offers a Monday-Friday schedule with occasional flexibility related to production needs.
