In this energetic position, you will assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining strict compliance with all pharmaceutical regulations. Your expertise will help deliver exceptional patient care through accurate medication management, efficient data entry, and compassionate service. Responsibilities Accurately prepare, dispense, and compound medications including sterile IV infusions and aseptic preparations following strict sterile technique protocols. Manage pharmaceutical calculations to ensure correct dosages and medication administration. Utilize pharmacy software systems for data entry, prescription processing, and inventory management to streamline workflow. Maintain patient confidentiality while handling sensitive medical information in compliance with state and federal healthcare regulations. Assist with medication intake, inventory control, and drug regulation adherence to ensure pharmacy operations meet all legal standards. Support patient service initiatives by providing clear medication instructions and addressing patient inquiries with professionalism and empathy. Ensure pharmaceutical regulatory compliance during all pharmacy activities, including drug regulation adherence and documentation of compounding procedures. Participate in clinical pharmacy tasks such as medication reconciliation, pharmacological terminology application, and acute care support when required. Experience Prior experience working as a pharmacy technician in hospital pharmacy, or community pharmacy settings is highly preferred. Demonstrated knowledge of pharmaceutical calculations, drug regulation laws, and medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice. Experience with IV infusion preparation, sterile compounding techniques, and aseptic procedures is essential. Familiarity with pharmacy software systems used for prescription processing and inventory management is required. Proven ability to maintain patient confidentiality while adhering to state healthcare regulations and pharmacy laws. Critical care or acute care experience enhances your suitability for this role by demonstrating your ability to handle complex medication regimens efficiently. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) from an accredited organization is mandatory; BLS (Basic Life Support) certification is a plus.
