Jefferson Regional Retail PharmacyJob Summary:
The Retail Pharmacy Tech supports pharmacy operations under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist, by performing all tasks allowable by the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy. This role assists the pharmacist in processes including filling, billing, and dispensing of medications. The tech provides excellent customer service and assistance to patients in a retail pharmacy setting. They will work with the Meds To Beds program to properly dispense medications for discharge patients by working with other hospital staff to ensure patients are getting proper care.
Retail Pharmacy Technician Qualifications:
High School diploma or equivalent required. Completion of a Pharmacy Technician Certification Program preferred.

Pharmacy Technician Licensure with the Arkansas State Board of Pharmacy required upon hire.

National Pharmacy Technician Certification preferredThis is a safety sensitive position.•Must be able to follow oral and written instructions and communicate with others effectively Ability to de-escalate situations using proper crucial conversation skills.

Basic understanding and knowledge of computer programs.

Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and organizational skillsKnowledge of basic math skillsExperience as a Pharmacy Technician preferred1 year or more retail pharmacy experience preferredKnowledgeable in medical terminology, medication safety, pharmacy law, pharmacy calculations, and pharmacy operations preferred
