Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A closed-door mail order pharmacy is seeking 4-5 Pharmacy Shipping Clerks to support the accurate and efficient processing of prescription orders for shipment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced pharmacy environment where attention to detail, organization, and patient confidentiality are critical.

Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM - 4:30

ASAP Key Responsibilities:
Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy in labeling and packaging according to pharmacy procedures and shipping standards. Verify shipping labels and documentation correspond correctly to each order. Package medications securely, including handling refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments using insulated packaging and cold packs when necessary. Process shipments using pharmacy and carrier systems such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Sort packages by carrier, shipping method, or pickup requirements, and monitor shipping queues prioritizing orders based on cutoff times. Assist with carrier pickups and ensure packages are prepared ahead of scheduled deadlines. Identify and escalate any damaged packages, shipping discrepancies, or errors prior to shipment. Adhere to pharmacy policies regarding patient privacy and protection of health information (PHI), as well as workplace safety standards.
Preferred Qualifications:
"Tech in Training" license or experience is preferred but not required. Previous shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, pharmacy, healthcare, or mail order experience. Familiarity with shipping systems like UPS, FedEx, USPS. Experience working in a high-volume production or fulfillment environment. Ability to perform repetitive packaging, labeling, and scanning, and lift/move packages up to 10 pounds.
