Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A closed-door mail order pharmacy is seeking 4-5 Pharmacy Shipping Clerks for a contract assignment located in Fountain Hills, AZ. This role involves preparing and packaging completed prescription orders for shipment, ensuring the accuracy and proper labeling of each package, and coordinating with carriers to meet timely delivery schedules. Working in this fast-paced pharmacy environment requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and a commitment to patient confidentiality.

Contract (13 weeks, possible contract to hire)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, verifying labels and documentation. Securely package medications according to pharmacy and shipping guidelines. Process shipments using pharmacy and carrier systems such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Sort packages by carrier and shipping method, ensuring deadlines are met. Assist with carrier pickups and monitor shipping queues prioritizing urgency. Identify and escalate any packaging or labeling errors before shipment. Handle refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments properly when needed. Comply with pharmacy policies relating to patient privacy and PHI. Follow workplace safety and company procedures. Qualifications /
Desired Experience:
No license required, but preference given to candidates with a "Tech in Training" license or experience. Shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, pharmacy, healthcare, or mail-order experience is preferred. Experience with carrier shipping systems (UPS, FedEx, USPS) beneficial. Ability to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods. Capable of lifting packages up to 10 pounds and carrying out physical movements such as bending and reaching. If not licensed as a "Tech in Training," shipping or warehouse experience is required.
