Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A temporary opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Technician with skills in hospital pharmacy operations to support a behavioral health facility. This role requires immediate availability to cover a leave of absence through December, with the potential for extension. The position operates Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 2:30 PM, with no weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

Refill and restock Omnicell medication cabinets accurately Maintain inventory counts and rotate stock to prevent medication expiration Remove expired, recalled, or damaged medications promptly Conduct scheduled cycle counts and comprehensive inventory audits Fill medication cassettes, bins, and patient-specific medication requests Deliver medications to nursing units within the facility Process medication returns and credits following policy Ensure precise medication packaging and labeling prior to distribution Support the monitoring of high-alert medications and medication room inspections Prepare monthly medication area audit documentation Assist with patient medication processing and monitoring of emergency medication kits and antidote inventory Qualifications /

Desired Experience:

Valid Arizona Pharmacy Technician license with CPTB certification Hospital experience, particularly with Omnicell systems and filling machines Proficient in general pharmacy technician duties, including managing outdates and inventory Exposure to behavioral health pharmacy environment preferred Familiarity with Cerner order entry system is beneficial but not mandatory

Additional Information:
