Category Pharmacy - Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A closed-door mail order pharmacy is seeking 4-5 Pharmacy Shipping Clerks to join their fast-paced operations team on a contract basis. This role is critical in ensuring that completed prescription orders are accurately prepared, securely packaged, and shipped on time to patients, supporting overall pharmacy efficiency and patient satisfaction.

Tempe, AZ Job Type:
Contract (13 weeks, potential contract to hire)
Schedule:
Monday to Friday 8:30 AM to 4:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
Prepare completed prescription orders for shipment, verifying correct labels and documentation. Securely package medications following pharmacy and shipping guidelines. Process shipments using pharmacy and carrier shipping systems such as UPS, FedEx, or USPS. Sort packages by carrier, shipping method, and monitor shipping queues to prioritize orders by cutoff times. Coordinate with carriers for pickups and ensure timely shipment readiness. Identify and escalate any packaging or shipping errors before dispatch. Handle refrigerated or temperature-sensitive shipments correctly when required. Adhere to patient privacy regulations and company policies related to protected health information (PHI).
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
No licensure required; however, "Tech in Training" license or experience is preferred. Shipping, fulfillment, warehouse, pharmacy, mail order, or healthcare experience beneficial. Familiarity with carrier shipping systems like UPS, FedEx, and USPS. Experience in high-volume production or fulfillment environments is a plus. Physical ability to stand/walk for extended periods, perform repetitive tasks, and lift up to 10 pounds.
