  • Pharmacy Technician Job Type Contract A local Pharmacy Technician is needed to support inpatient operations in a hospital setting near Anaheim, CA.
This contract role will begin as full-time for approximately four weeks, then transition into a PRN position for ongoing support as needed. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong inpatient pharmacy skills seeking flexible hours and a chance to work closely with a clinical team.
Location:
Anaheim, CA area (local candidates preferred)
Contract Duration:
Approximately 4 weeks full-time, then
PRN Shift Hours:
Rotating shifts, depending on coverage needs 07:30 AM
  • 04:00 PM 12:00 PM
  • 08:30 PM Weekend shifts 08:00 AM
  • 04:30
PM Key Responsibilities:
Accurately compound IV medications following sterile technique Fill and maintain Pyxis automated dispensing systems Perform order entry using Paragon/Allscripts systems Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure efficient medication distribution Maintain compliance with safety and regulatory standards in medication preparation and delivery
Required Qualifications:
Valid California Pharmacy Technician license Prior experience in inpatient pharmacy settings Proficiency with IV compounding and Pyxis automation systems Knowledge of electronic health record order entry, preferably Paragon/Allscripts Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient safety Availability for full-time coverage initially, with flexibility for PRN shifts thereafter This position offers a blend of structured shift work and flexibility, ideal for a technician who is local to the area and able to support inpatient pharmacy operations on a varying schedule.
