Duties:
  • Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and maintaining accurate medication records
  • Work with both internal and external customers to ensure orders are processed on timely matter and meets all financial and clinical requirements prior to fulfillment
  • Prepare and package medications for distribution to patients (bubble pack)
  • Manage inventory and stock medications in the pharmacy
  • Be comfortable in a high volume and fast-paced environment
  • Answer incoming calls/completing outbound calls
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Completion of a pharmacy technician training program or equivalent work experience
  • Certification as a pharmacy technician (CPhT)
  • Long Term Care Pharmacy experience
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and pharmacy practices
  • Experience in an acute care or critical care setting is highly desirable
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation
  • Strong communication skills and ability to provide exceptional patient service
  • Drug test required
