Job Description
Overview Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Part-Time Experienced Pharmacy Technician, where your expertise will directly enhance patient care and medication safety. In this vital role, you will support pharmacists in dispensing medications accurately, managing pharmacy operations efficiently, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards. Your proactive approach and attention to detail will help create a seamless experience for patients and healthcare providers alike. Responsibilities Assist pharmacists with medication preparation, including sterile IV admixture procedures and compounding medications using aseptic techniques. Manage medication inventory, perform data entry into pharmacy software systems, and ensure accurate pharmaceutical calculations for dosage accuracy. Support patient intake processes by verifying prescriptions, maintaining patient confidentiality, and providing excellent patient service. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy laws, drug regulation policies, and pharmaceutical regulatory standards. Maintain accurate records of medication dispensing, IV infusion procedures, and sterile compounding activities while adhering to hospital or community pharmacy protocols. Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient inquiries, explaining medication instructions, and supporting medication administration processes. Uphold safety standards through proper handling of pharmaceuticals, maintaining sterile environments, and practicing rigorous aseptic techniques during compounding. Skills Proven pharmacy technician experience with a strong background in hospital or community pharmacy settings - MUST
BE LICENSED.
Expertise in LTC (Long-Term Care) pharmacy practices, critical care environments, or acute care settings. Knowledge of pharmaceutical regulations including drug regulation laws and state healthcare regulations. Proficiency with pharmacy software systems for data entry and medication management. Familiarity with medical terminology, pharmacological medical terminology, and the principles of pharmaceutical calculations. Experience in IV infusion preparation, sterile IV admixture procedures, and aseptic technique application. Strong customer service skills with a focus on patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality. Ability to work effectively within a team while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
