Role:
Skilled Nursing Pharmacy in Hayward, CA is looking for a dedicated Pharmacy Technician to join our overnight graveyard shift team. This is a great opportunity to play a critical role in ensuring long-term care patients receive the medications they need — around the clock. Schedule:
Overnight Shift (8:30pm - 5:00am)
Shift Differential Applicable Responsibilities:
Accurately fill and dispense medication orders for skilled nursing facility (SNF) patients during overnight hours Process and verify prescription orders in the pharmacy management system Prepare unit-dose and blister-pack medications in compliance with long-term care standards Coordinate urgent and STAT medication requests for nursing facilities Maintain proper medication storage, inventory control, and controlled substance logs Communicate effectively with nursing staff and pharmacists to resolve order discrepancies Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and facility protocols
Requirements:
Active California Pharmacy Technician license (CPhT) required Prior experience in a long-term care, institutional, or retail pharmacy preferred Familiarity with pharmacy management software and medication dispensing systems Strong attention to detail and accuracy in a high-volume environment Ability to work independently and remain focused during overnight/graveyard shift hours Knowledge of controlled substance handling and regulatory compliance Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a team-oriented setting
