Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician specializing in billing operations to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in pharmacy billing processes, pharmaceutical regulations, and patient service. This role involves billing, prior authorizations, Excel spreadsheets, handling accounts, and communicating with LTC nursing facilities. Responsibilities Process pharmacy billing transactions efficiently using specialized pharmacy software systems, ensuring accuracy in data entry and claim submissions. Verify insurance information, patient details, and medication data to facilitate correct billing and reimbursement. Maintain patient confidentiality at all times while handling sensitive medical and billing information. Prior experience of one year as a pharmacy technician with data entry and/or billing is required. Must have a valid California Pharmacy technician license. Proficiency in pharmacy software systems for data entry, billing processing, and patient record management. Strong understanding of state and federal pharmacy laws, healthcare regulations, and drug regulation policies. Experience with pharmaceutical calculations, medication administration documentation, and maintaining accurate patient records. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work effectively within a team environment while handling multiple priorities in a fast paced setting.
Pay:
From $18.00 per hour Expected hours: 40.0 per week
