Job Description

Overview High-volume independent pharmacy seeking an experienced Senior Pharmacy Technician to coordinate workflow, support staff, and ensure efficient, accurate prescription processing. Key Responsibilities Coordinate daily technician workflow and prioritize urgent tasks Process prescriptions and troubleshoot insurance rejections Resolve patient service and prescription issues Communicate with patients, physician offices, and insurance companies Train and onboard technicians and clerks Support vaccine services and pharmacy operations Manage inventory, ordering, returns, and stock issues Support non-sterile compounding as needed Maintain accurate records and regulatory compliance Identify and resolve workflow or service issues Qualifications Active California Pharmacy Technician License 10+ years of retail pharmacy technician experience 3+ years of senior, lead, or supervisory pharmacy technician experience Current immunization certification and vaccine experience (required) High-volume retail pharmacy experience Demonstrated staff training and onboarding experience Strong insurance billing and rejection troubleshooting skills Excellent customer service and problem-solving skills Strong communication with patients, physician offices, and insurance companies Dependable, organized, professional, and able to work independently DigitalRx experience preferred Independent pharmacy experience preferred Non-sterile compounding experience preferred

From $27.00 per hour
