About Us:
Our award-winning Pediatric Pulmonology Clinic at Valley Children's provides a range of comprehensive medical services for patients with congenital, genetic and acquired lung and respiratory system disorders, from birth to age 21. Our team, the largest of its kind in the Central Valley, includes board-certified pediatric pulmonologists, nurse practitioners, nurses, dietitians, respiratory therapists, social workers and psychologists focused on treating the whole child. Valley Children's pulmonology experts provide care at our main Hospital campus in Madera and at specialty care locations in Merced and Modesto. Our team provides excellent and compassionate care along with conducting educational events on asthma and cystic fibrosis, helping patients and families with individualized education plans and resource materials to measure the child's progress. Valley Children's Hospital is a Cystic Fibrosis Foundation (CFF- accredited center affiliated with the CFF Core Center at Stanford Medical Center.
Job Summary:
This position works in a fast-paced, pediatric environment, that exercises independent judgment and critical thinking with primary focus on the prior authorizations/appeals and patient assistance programs. Performs targeted technical duties at an practice level related to patient interactions, provider interactions, record keeping and clerical duties with appropriate oversight by licensed personnel. Mentors and trains other staff members as required.Qualifications :
Education High School Diploma/G.E.D. (required) Licenses and Certifications CPHT- Certified Pharmacy Tech

- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (required) TCH-Pharmacy Technician License

- Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (required) Work Experience Minimum three (3) years Retail experience (required) Minimum one (1) year Hospital or Medical Clinic (preferred) Skills and Abilities Computer Skills Demonstrated keyboard and computer navigation skills required.
Compensation Range:
$29.35- $42.
