Job Description

Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Technician to join our close-knit team. The ideal candidate is licensed in California, has strong communication skills and demonstrates excellent analytical and organizational abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist the pharmacist in preparing and dispensing medications accurately and efficiently. Perform medication reconciliation and communicate with patients, caregivers, and healthcare providers. Support long-term care (LTC) facility cycle billing. Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations. Provide outstanding customer service. Reconcile and troubleshoot various insurance issues (rejections, prior authorizations, over-rides). Expertise in Part B billing, cross over claims for dual eligible patients and navigating eligibilities on different platforms.
Qualifications:
Valid California Pharmacy Technician License/Certification (Required). Vast experience with DigitalRx pharmacy software. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Experience with medication reconciliation. Familiarity with long-term care cycles and medication packaging (Preferred). Experience and familiarity with different insurance types (Commercial, Medicaid, Medicare, Coupons) and their coordination of benefits. Extensive experience with Pulmonology, Nephrology and Ophthalmology medication. Team player with a compassionate, patient-first attitude.
