This role requires a dedicated professional experienced in inpatient pharmacy environments, particularly skilled in IV preparation and Pyxis automated dispensing cabinet management.

5 days on, 5 days off

Shift:

Night hours from 9:00 PM to 7:30 AM (10-hour shifts)

Duration:

8 to 13 weeks Licensed beds: 173 Average daily census: 140

Key Responsibilities:

Accurately fill and manage Pyxis automated dispensing cabinets Prepare intravenous solutions including IV medications, IV piggybacks (IVPBs), and total parenteral nutrition (TPNs) Respond promptly to phone calls and medication requests from nursing units Deliver medications to patient care areas in a timely manner Utilize Allscripts/Paragon order entry system for medication processing and documentation

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Proven inpatient pharmacy technician experience Competency in IV preparation and sterile compounding Familiarity with Pyxis automated dispensing systems Experience with Allscripts or Paragon order entry systems is essential Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently during night shifts
