One California Job Summary and Responsibilities As our Pharmacy Tech, you'll help our patients feel better by providing safe and effective medications to them. You'll help our doctors and nurses feel better knowing that you are providing accurate and timely medication to patients.
Every day, you'll build trust by being extremely thorough and accurate at all times. Patient safety is your top priority, so you do everything you can to ensure all prescriptions are authentic, prepared correctly both in medication type and dosing, and are dispensed appropriately, under the Pharmacist's guidance. To be successful in this role, you follow all safety protocols, including those intended to prevent infection, and you keep a clean work area at all times. You are eager to learn or help out in any way needed to keep the pharmacy running smoothly and get our patients their medications. Consistent, competent performance of required Pharmacy Technician I duties Demonstrates an awareness of patient rights, promoting patient privacy, and confidentiality Demonstrates an interest and willingness in discovering and meeting patient and customer needs Demonstrates effective communication methods and skills such as active listening, giving, seeking and accepting feedback, using appropriate line of authority Communicates in a calm, constructive manner Seeks validation of knowledge base and skill level, especially in areas of question Job Requirements Required High School GED General Studies.
