Summary:

Boulder Medical Center (BMC) is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) to join our dynamic team in a locally owned and operated retail pharmacy that truly values strong, lasting patient relationships. At BMC, we pride ourselves on providing personalized care and building trust with the community we serve. This full-time position offers 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, from 9 am to 5 pm, with rotating Saturday shifts from 9 am - 12 pm, along with a comprehensive benefits package. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting our pharmacists by preparing and dispensing medications, managing inventory, processing prescriptions, and delivering outstanding customer service. Job Duties:

Works closely with pharmacists, health care professionals, team members and other pharmacies to fill prescription orders. Accurately enters patient profiles into computer. Prepares labels and receipts and checks prescriptions for completeness and accuracy. Performs cash handling and accurately handles transactions at the cash register and records insurance information per Pharmacy department procedures. Performs inventory support. Receives, unpacks, checks, marks and properly stocks drugs and supplies. Orders and maintains stock and Over-the-counter (OTC) specials. Competently operations inventory management software. Adheres to rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy governing technician activities. Assists with the preparation of medication orders by compounding or mixing medications, including antigens under supervision of a physician. Checks all orders for completeness of information. Verifies patient information and proper physician authorization. Will obtain vaccine administration certificate during employment

Education:

High school Diploma or GED certificate. Must provide proof of completion of a Pharmacy Technician training program and have some coursework in medical or pharmacy terminology. Certification as a Pharmacy Technician required.

Previous Experience:

1 year previous experience as a Pharmacy Technician, preferably in a clinic, retail or hospital setting. The starting hourly pay range for this position is commensurate with experience: $20.35 - $25.43/hour
