Job Description
Brooksville Pharmaceuticals, Inc. is a growing compounding pharmacy specializing in sterile and non-sterile preparations looking for a highly skilled pharmacy technician that has experience with State of Florida Board of Pharmacy requirements. The pharmacy technician works under a licensed pharmacist to prepare and dispense medications to patients and medical providers. Ensures that prescriptions are filled properly and quickly. Deals directly with clinics in obtaining medical information and dispensing prescriptions.
Registered Technician Job Duties:
Prepares prescription drugs for patients & clinics as directed by licensed pharmacist. Handles clerical duties, such as answering phones and filing prescriptions. Drug inventory maintenance Counts, pours, mixes, packages, and labels prescription medications Sorts and evaluates patient medical information Stays in full compliance with state laws and regulations Maintains electronic database of customer and prescription information Complies with pharmacy standard operating procedures and all regulations Takes inventory of prescription and over-the-counter medications and other pharmaceutical products and records results to be reported to purchasing staff.Pharmacy Technician Job Skills and Qualifications:
Knowledge and Understanding of Drug Laws, team player, interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, attention to detail, computer and database skills, fast and ongoing learner, strong verbal communicator, excellent active listening skills, good memory, mathematical competency, well organized, takes direction well, HIPAA compliant, ability to work at a very fast pace. Must be a registered pharmacy technician with the state of Florida, PTCB certification & compounding experience preferred.This Job Is:
